E-Solo - Peace of mind for agencies and hirers

E-Solo is an online software solution for contract workers operating through their own limited companies costing the contractor less than £10 per week (net of tax). This cuts the cost of most Umbrella / Accountancy Service providers by approximately 50%.

The use of the e-solo software by the independent contractor completely removes the agency and the end hirer from the risks associated with the MSC legislation and can therefore be recommended by agencies and hirers.

e-solo includes a review of contract terms and working arrangements through leading tax compliance specialists Qdos Consulting Ltd. This helps the worker to clearly establish the correct employment status and to comply with the IR35 legislation.

Agencies and Hirers receive a "Certificate of Conformity" from Solo Accounting Ltd advising them of the workers IR35 status following the above contract review and including the outcome of the identity check for money laundering purposes and details of the contractors limited company, bank account, Accountant and tax details.   

For additional peace of mind, within the cost of e-solo we have included a £75,000 Tax Enquiry / Legal Expenses insurance policy, to cover unbudgeted costs in the event of an HM Revenue & Customs enquiry or dispute. This policy covers all parties in the contractual chain, the worker, the agency and the hirer and is underwritten by Axa Insurance.

e-solo can assist the user to increase their earnings by up to £2500 per annum, regardless of whether they are “caught by IR35” or “outside of IR35”, utilising the VAT flat rate scheme (subject to eligibility).

Jargon free, quick and simple to use e-solo is designed for contract workers with no accounting experience whatsoever. Solo offers unlimited support on the use of the software and helps the contractor with the initial set up process to help get them started.

In less than 10 minutes per week e-solo enables the contractor to create and e-mail PDF invoices, record expenses, automatically calculates earnings and sets aside accumulated tax liabilities for future payment and online filing. The payroll software is accredited by HM Revenue & Customs.

Solo can also assist the user with company formations and applying for business bank accounts.
